Insect VS Spider

A few days ago we witnessed something that you'd see on the nature channel. We were all out playing with a basketball. Gavin went to get the ball and almost ran under a falling spider. We went to him to see where it had landed. It was a garden spider that had a ball rear end, nothing special. We then witness this flying insect (same size) attack the spider. After a few minutes of intense fighting, the insect stuck some sort of stinger in the spiders face and won! Standing over the spider he managed to get all the spider legs tucked under him and then proceeded to carry him away. It was the craziest thing! When we first started watching, we kind of expected to see the spider kill the insect, boy were we way off. Wish we could have gotten that on camera. We just hope we don't have any run ins with that type of insect. We might lose and get carried away!
