Hoedown 2009

HOEDOWN was SPECTACULAR!

I am currently the Membership Co-Chair and have been staying very busy with AWCP (American Women's Club of the Philippines). It has been a great way to get to know people and donate to charity all at the same time.

On October 10th we had our Annual Hoedown. Our first of many! There was a Chili Cook-Off that was a blast to compete in. We had so much fun with it, we're already talking about what to do next year. Here are some of our friends that we've made.

At the next table was Tony and Holly Hanford with their splendid healthy chili containing barley and cilantro. YUM! Angela Petersen's yummy chicken chili won "Most Unique Chili"

We won "Best Couple". We had shirts and boots made for this fabulous event.

Lastly, there was a mechanical bull that had a steady crowd around it all night. I got on, and a few seconds later, slid right off.
Raffle tickets were purchased, prizes were won. Line dancing was fun and many memories made. Can't wait for next year!
